I've been Published!

My essay on my trip to India was unexpectedly published in the magazine Yatra. Yatra is a periodical issued by the High Commission of India, Port of Spain, Trinidad. I had no idea about this magazine, in fact a friend's mother called me up one night all excited about how she had read my "article" in the magazine and loved it.
Over the next few days I got Facebook posts from various people who read it as well saying things like "it's very inspiring" or "great article".

I actually just wrote the whole thing out in a rush in a couple of hours in an effort to meet the deadline just to get my plane ticket reimbursement. I'm glad people liked it. It makes me feel all warm inside to read and hear their compliments, especially since I know I can do much better in the writing department if I actually know I'm writing for a magazine!
